Terms of use

1. Acceptance

By using tunetonic.app or learn.tunetonic.app you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use them. Tune & Tonic is operated by Matthew Smith, an individual, in Portland, Oregon (“we”).

2. The service

Tune & Tonic is an early product. Features change, and some may be removed. We work to keep it available but promise no particular uptime.

3. Accounts

One person per account. Keep your email accurate and your password private; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You must be 13 or older.

4. Your content

Teachers own what they upload and choose which students may see it. Students own what they add to their own profile. You give us only the license we need to store, process and show that content inside the product to the people you share it with. Upload nothing you do not have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the product to store or share unlawful content, to harass anyone, to scrape it, or to try to reach another person’s data.

6. Zoom

Connecting Zoom is also subject to Zoom’s own terms. We are not Zoom and cannot restore what Zoom deletes.

7. Text messages

Tune & Tonic lesson alerts send lesson reminders, notices of moved or canceled lessons, and links to lesson notes to users who opt in. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Text messages are available only to users aged 18 or older. Reply HELP for help or email support@tunetonic.app. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt in, the exact consent you give, and samples of every text are on the text messages page.

8. Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 5, and will say why.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The product is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which is nothing while the product is free.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.

11. Changes and contact

The date at the top is when these terms last changed; a material change is announced by email to account holders. Questions: support@tunetonic.app.
